Back in the 1980s, like most teen boys, I had a mad crush on Sandra Dee, so listening to this album is probably the most FUN I’ve head listening to music this year. And even though she plays nearly every song on this album the same way Olivia did it, Hatfield’s grrrl guitar and completely different–but equally perfect–vocals make each and every song here sound original.
