THE TOP 10 SONGS ABOUT CAR CRASHES

6. I Love It by Icona Pop. A joyous song with tragic lyrics: “I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone/I crashed my car into the bridge, I watched, I let it burn/I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs/I crashed my car into the bridge/I don’t care, I love it…”

5. Always Crashing the Same Car by David Bowie. Legend says David Bowie got beat on a drug deal, drove out to find the guy, and then smashed his own car into the dealer’s car. Over and over. Who knew Bowie was a badass?

Lots of tasty cover versions of this song…Here’s a couple:

4. Dead Man’s Curve by Jan and Dean. There were a million oldies about car crashes. Leader of the Pack by The Shangri-Las is a close second–I wavered between these two. Then there’s A Young Man is Gone by The Beach Boys (who had several others as well). Last Kiss by Wayne Cochran, made famous in the modern era by Pearl Jam. Most of these sound pretty much the same.
