Serene and wonderful. Shoegaze as a genre tends to leave me cold, but Jay Som’s second album takes everything that’s great about bands like The Sundays (sweet vocals, hypnotizing riffs) and adds a layer of indie rock underneath, providing a foundation and backbone that is both impressive and compelling.
Highly recommended.
