AS I FELL by CURSE OF LONO

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say the Internet is wrong. “As I Fell” is receiving generally positive reviews, but I haven’t read anyone who loves it like I do. And they’re all wrong. This is one of the best dark Americana albums I’ve heard in years.

“Valentine,” the first track, has fuzz and motorcycle engines, recalling the best of T-Rex. “Way To Mars” is like Lou Reed with better vocals. “And it Shows” feels a little more upbeat, but it’s actually a sad song about a lost friend. “I’d Start a War For You” is one dark-ass love song. Track for track for track, this is a great record. Oh, and here’s the single:

Good stuff, right?

This is just the band’s second album. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
