“White Oak,” the single off Kalen Nash’s solo debut is haunting and catchy and has stuck with me for weeks. Kalen (who also plays with Ponderosa) has released a strong indie singer/songwriter album that flows in that warm current between folk and indie rock, and marks the first release for Normaltown Records–an indie label founded in that fountain of indie rock, Athens, GA.
