If you don’t know about Mark Millar’s run on Marvel Knights Spider-Man, you should. It’s greatly underrated. Much of Marvel Knights wasn’t all that great, but there were spots were it was fantastic, and this is one of those shining moments.
In this storyline, Millar not only writes about Spidey’s first sidekick (which is the “big thing” that Dan Slott will soon be adding to Amazing Spider-Man), but he also writes about a Secret Skrull Invasion (kind of).
Great stuff–you should check it out.
Here’s Spidey and his sidekick, Ethan Edwards, in costume:

It wasn’t written by Mark Millar. It was written by Reggie Hudlin.

You’re right–my bad. Millar wrote the opening arc of the MK series and then Hudlin came along. My apologies.

Spiderman with a sidekick? Not sure about this storyline…. Nice to see Spiderman in the classic costume as compared to the black (symbiote inspired) costume.
