Rick Monroe’s Smoke Out the Window is a pretty standard country album, but it’s good—it’s like 1970s outlaw country, when the top 40 aspects were just getting into the songs so they kept their integrity but moved away from some of the older standards. Good stuff.

Of course, the real reason you’ll come back is the cover of Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth.” They also cover Lennon’s “Gimme Some Truth” and Cheap Trick’s “Surrender.”
And last, but not least, I don’t how this cover of “Bad” got by me. Most excellent.
