Leaving Venus, a trio out of Hickory, NC, are a nice surprise. They are indie rockers who pay attention to craft–and variety. Although their music fits neatly under the indie rock label, it’s got a range that you don’t often find in this genre.
Vocals up to par with any male-fronted indie rock band out there, very tight rhythm, and enough hooks and chords to please fans of 1990s alt-rock and 2000s power pop alike.
