I recognize that Citizen Cope is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve been a fan for a very long time.
His latest album is a slow and quiet collection acoustic songs anchored by Cope’s tremendous vocal ability. There are moments on this album when I totally forgot it was just him and a guitar. His vocals provide beat, background and context that make even the humblest of songs feel downright dance-able.
