THE BERKELEY PLACE G.O.A.T. SPRINGSTEEN TRIBUTE

Not much need to talk.  He’s the Boss.  The Boss!  And it’s his birthday,, so he gets a Greatest of All Tunes post.

On the shortlist, but not quite top 10: Janie Don’t You Lose Heart; I’m On Fire; Dancing in the Dark; Prove it all Night; Johnny 99, The River, Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out, Darkness at the Edge of Town.

THE TOP 10 SPRINGSTEEN SONGS

10.  Hungry Heart (The River, 1980)
I decided to include either this song or Dancing in the Dark.  Both are pure, unadulterated pop.  This one is better.  Interesting note: He actually wrote it for The Ramones.

9.  Tougher Than the Rest (Tunnel of Love, 1988)

I think the Tunnel of Love album is pretty underrated, so I opted to include this one over Tenth Avenue Freeze Out.  I don’t even think Bruce’s own version of this is the best one: That trophy would go to Everything But The Girl.
