I feel I should have heard of David Bars before. After all, he says I’m gonna see his album “on the walls of the Guggenheim.” He’s a part of the Diggin’ in the Crates (DITC) crew, hails from Bronx New York, and his rhymes are…Pretty amazing. “I’m a new breed…I deliver it different,” he boasts, and this appears to be true: He’s very literate, rarely relying on profanity or “standard” bars, and in particular the song, “Right of Wrong” flips homonyms faster than any other song I’ve heard this year. It’s the kind of genius rapping that forces you to hit replay over and over to keep up.
This album is well worth your money and time. Check it out.
