LOOSEYS and PACKS by YOUR OLD DROOG

In an embarassment of riches, one of the best rappers around today released not just one great album, but a bonus B-side collection. There’s a metric ton of great hip hop here–especially, No Message, off “Looseys”–the B-sides collection. It’s an update of the classic Grandmaster Flash song–one of rap’s first big hits–for the 2010s. Instead of cops and bedbugs, it’s Whole Foods and identity crises. Seriously. Brilliant and witty–just like the best things Droog always does.

Other standouts: White Rappers and Help (feat. Edan and Wiki) and Gonna Kill A Cop (GKAC) and…Hell, just about every cut on both albums is pure fire.

Don’t sleep on Droog.

And don’t forget his team-up EP with Wiki, it’s great, too!
