More lo-fi rock and roll worth hearing, by two brothers from the DC area. Music execs say the internet is destroying the music industry, but frankly where they see apocalypse, I see hope, opportunity and renaissance. Anyone talented enough to put together some tunes can throw ’em up on Bandcamp and share them with the world.
I mean, it’s nice when you can make a little scratch off your art, but that can’t be the main motivator. Money killed New Wave, turning Blondie into Naked Eyes and Men Without Hats. Money killed rap, turning Kurtis Blow into Chamillionaire.
But true art, true music lives on.
