It’s pretty ballsy to name your album after a Doors album. Especially if you’re four Swedish kids who are just getting started in the music biz. It would be really, really embarassing if the album sucked.
Fortunately, it doesn’t.
Ben HoGun have a definite late ’80s Smiths/Joy Division vibe, but the real distinctive thing about them is their sense of rhythm. Really solid stuff, and tight songwriting to boot.
This is a very young band–they’ve definitely got potential.
