Instrumentals aren’t usually my thing, but this one features members of the greatest retro-soul bands of our time: Folks from the Dap-Kings, El Michels Affair, Antibalas, and the Budos Band. Topping it off is the tight production by Thomas (“Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings;” “Amy Winehouse”) Brenneck, all completed in Brooklyn. Great hipsway, perfect for a party. You may recognize the single, below, as it was recently sampled by Jay-hova on his American Gangsta record.
