This EP is six sweet songs that have an acousticfeel, even if some tracks do require a plug. Emotional without being twee, lovelorn without being precious, Canada’s Cory Woodward crafts some nice, indie-folk tunes like “Slipping Away†and “Turn to You.†It’s the kind of material you’d expect from Death Cab for Cutie, but the kind of performance you’d expect from stripped down Wilco (or Tom Waits with a voice that’s easier-on-the-ears).
