WEEKENDS ARE FOR SINGLES: All Covers Edition!

music
Let’s start with rock great Warren Haynes covering rock greats Fleetwood Mac…

From there, let’s go ultra modern: Koal J covering Adele’s latest single…

Of course, that can’t compare to Robin Quivers of the Howard Stern Show…

Let’s get back to good covers. Spoon is one of my favorite modern bands, and when David Bowie died they offered a cover of one his lesser-known tunes, “Never Let Me Down.”

I don’t care for the original, but this cover of Hotline Bling is great.

This is old–from 2002–but Paper Bag Records still offers as a free download here “In Our Time” a covers EP by Cuff the Duke, which features an amazing cover of John Lennon’s, “Instant Karma.” I highly recommend it. It looks like the band isn’t together anymore, which is too bad. I’d have liked to hear more.
And while we are on the subject of covers, here’s a solid EP…

Don’t fear the Reaper!
