An off-beat delivery. Clever song titles (“Use Me (I’m Dope);” “Dope Game $tupid”) and clever lyrics (“You think he’s selling pizza the way he’s scratching dough”). Crude blow job jokes (“Ho’s giving me head like shampoo;” “take it all the way down ’til your throat throb”). Humor combined with depth. Name drops, like E40 (another rapper known for wit and his unusual rapping voice): “But it is one thing that I learned from E-40/Somebody in the clique gotta be legit.” Boom bap and throwback beats aligned with a distinctive, unique, and modern style.
Released on Danny Brown’s new label, and Brown himself makes an appearance.
Phenomenal record.
