Aesop Rock is one of those underground indie rappers who has always kind of simmered, but not quite boiled. And that about sums up my feelings for him, too. I respect his ability, but it’s never moved me enough to make me want to buy his albums. His stuff is aways tight and extremely well produced, though.
Well, he’s got a beats album now. And it’s damn good.
Here’s three cuts from it. Highly recommended.
