The lead singer of The Downtown Boys is a girl. No, not a girl. A powerful feminist punk rock Mexican named Victoria Ruiz who screams her way through the anti-Trump song “A Wall” and drives the amazing band backing her into one of the best political anthems of the year.
With Guy Picciotto of Fugazi behind the production board and the Sub Pop label carrying their album,it’s no wonder this album is tremendous.
