And here’s Denali Moore covering FKA Twigs.
Beacon’s new album is purdy darn good…
“Evil” is the new single from Andy Mertz…
And finally, this album is a little harder than my tastes usually run, but I really enjoyed listening to it…
New from Mass Appeal Records, it’s Little Shalimar with Bun B, Killer Mike and others on “Savage Habits.” Good, rough and raw rap.
With all the recent David Bowie hype, Lulu’s cover of The Man Who Sold the World resurfaced. Anyone remember Lulu? From that old Sidney Poitier movie where the black teacher educates white thugs? Good cover, great movie.
So we’ve gone from hard rap to an old, extremely pop cover. Now for an original song by Canada’s Merival. It’s a sweet and gentle folk song I hope you’ll all enjoy…
And from folk, we’ll go to weird indie rock…The new album from Nap Eyes is not as weird as Modest Mouse at its most deliciously indie, but some of the songs are close.
Well, that’s it for the week. Hope you liked some of these!
