THE LOVE THAT’S OURS BY THE BIG PINK

Let’s first get it out of the way: It’s ballsy to name your band “The Big Pink,” because you’re immediately going to draw comparisons to The Band and what is widely recognized as one of the highest water marks in folk rock history. It’s even ballsier to name your band The Big Pink and make music that’s nothing like that.

For the first time in a decade, the London-based indie rockers have dropped a new record. And it’s really good.

“Rage” is the first single but honestly there aren’t many cuts on this album that don’t feel like singles.

My personal faves: I’m Not Away to Stay Away, Back to My Arms.
