Cousin Stizz took a year off, went indie, and now has returned. So far, there hasn’t been a bad Cousin Stizz album.
That streak is maintained on “Just for You.”
The “you,” in the title, I am assuming are all his fans. And this album is in fact a reward: It’s exactly what we have come to expect and enjoy from Stizz. I will say, though, that it’s time for him to change up his flow a little. By the end, the flows are a little redundant. He chose not to have features on this album, and it might have helped move it from good to great.
But perhaps I’m picking nits. Stizz has been off the scene for two years. He’s back. He’s still got it. And that can be enough.
