GOOD FOR NUTHIN’ by THE GOOD PEOPLE

O.G. rappers under old(ish), TCQ-style beats. Emskee and Saint have made these kinds of “mixtapes” for a while now and this is their best so far. With some of the GOATS of old school and underground: Large Professor, Sadat X of Brand Nubian, DJ Red Alert, Lil fame of MOP, Napoleon Da Legend etc. “No more Kanye and Kim K, ’cause they don’t care about you anyway!”

’90s rap sounds are still vital, and this album proves it. There’s a reason why some of the rappers on this album are hailed by heads around the world, and why beats like this moved hip hop from 1980s bubblegum to something vital and sophisticated. Check it out.
