WEEKENDS ARE FOR ALL THE SINGLE LADIES: A Special Edition of Singles by Women!

I’ve kicked this week off with Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles’ lead cut from their latest album, “Love’s Middle Name,” a strong collection of blues and rock.

Edie Brickell has a new album out. Remember her? Jerry Garcia helped her make a hit song back in the 1990s. Well, her voice hasn’t changed much—still great!

Auntie Flow has a new album out, and here’s the lead track. Very nice. And I know he’s a guy, but Aunts are female so he’s in this post. Deal with it.

And did you all catch this…The Screaming Females covering Sheryl Crow, and doing it better than the original!

Hustle and Shake is the lead single from the new Watson Twins album, Duo.

And finally, this one came out early this year but it’s still great. Liz Huett covering Tom Petty…

Cash Savage and the Last Drinks has a good album out called Good Citizens.

Judith Owen has a new album of smooth, often jazzy covers titled, “Rediscovered.” I liked the Hot Stuff cover.

And I saved the best for last. “Heroin” is the best song addiction I’ve heard…Ever.
