SON OF SAM by LUCKI

Here’s a new mixtape from Lucki Camel, aka Lucki Eck$, now going just by Lucki. Lucki’s first album, Alternative Trap, is a great description of what he does. A compatriot of Chance and Danny Brown, it’s a tight mix of stoner rap with trap sensibilities and street content. I have to admit, much of this “kind” of hip hop doesn’t move me–it seems like it’s more about the syrup than the story–but when Lucki hits, he’s amazing. Check out Nun2Me and Double Check, and you’ll see what I mean.
