Nate Harar’s album falls solidly in the “indie” camp. The vocals are slightly hoarse and swell with regularity, backed by a touch of echo; the music is driven by the drums but kept alive by the lead guitar; and the dude comes from Brooklyn.
I want to say it’s lo-fi, but it almost feels slick. Those two things don’t often coincide, and rarely does the combination yield a positive outcome. But this is a good one.
