While my tastes skew heavily on the pop side, I appreciate it when I get a submission that busts through every genre I can think of. Punk. Americana. Indie rock. Classic rock. DIY. There’s bits of all it on Thom Bowden’s new EP. If you listen close, you’ll hear The Replacements, Fugazi, Jack White, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cobain, Modest Mouse…There’s a little bit of everything here, but also a fresh, original talent.
This is one of the best EPs I’ve heard this year.
