COUNTING CROWS COVERS SPECTACULAR (SHIM SHAM 2001) + THE EDITORS GIVEAWAY

I’m looking for the other Shim Sham shows–I’ve been looking for a long time. If you can send any of them to me, via snail mail, zip file, megaupload, whatever, I’d be ever so grateful. (MP3 or FLAC format, no WMV please, and at least as good quality as what’s below.) So grateful, that I’ll make you a winner of . . .

THE GREAT EDITORS GIVEAWAY!

I’ve got two copies of “The End Has A Start” to give away. If you can send me one or more Shim Sham shows (other than the one below), it’s yours. If you can’t, send me your mailing address anyway. Maybe you’ll get lucky. I haven’t heard the whole album yet, but what I have heard is pretty good stuff.

THE COUNTING CROWS–LIVE AT THE SHIM SHAM 2001

Every year for several years, the Crows played one song at the now-closed Shim Sham club, during which they’d get drunk and drunker until Adam would slur and shamble. They played tons of covers and generally put on really cool shows. In fact, I think their version of “Come Pick Me Up” is far superior to Ryan’s own version. It captures the brilliant bitterness of the lyrics.

This is one of most prized and favorite bootlegs. I need the others, so, as noted above, I’m beggin’ you for them.

A bunch of mp3s for you single-cover hunters and a zip for the completists amongst you.
