The kind of music Adam Granduciel makes should be boring but instead it’s amazing. It’s meditative, but also has thought-provoking lyrics. It’s soaring and smooth, and yet has hooks and demands attention. At once, it sounds like background and forefront.
I love this band and I love this album, maybe as much I love A Deeper Understanding–which to now has been my favorite War on Drugs album.
Don’t miss this. It WILL be one of the best albums of the year.
