ALBUM OF THE WEEK: Medicine at Midnight by Foo Fighters AND You Better Watch by Soul Thrivers

Arena rock and small club soul.

You will probably have a hard time finding You Better Watch by Soul Thrivers, but it’s worth hearing. American country/blues with a decidedly global flavor, and clearly designed to be played and heard live. Fuck this pandemic.

And on the other side of this post is one of my favorite current bands, Foo Fighters. You will have no trouble finding this one. It’s their best in over a decade. Personally, I’d say the last time they had a full collection of albums where I didn’t want to skip a single one was 2005’s In Your Honor.

It’s big, loud, rock and roll. Exactly what Foo have always been best at.
