Chris J Connolly has a new record out, “Moving Maps.” This isn’t from that album, though. This is a Bill Withers cover. Not many people cover deep Withers cuts—good choice!
Lynn Jackson’s new album, Follow that Fire, is well done, mellow Americana. I really enjoyed the whole thing, and here’s the single.
Deerhoof are usually too experimental for me, but I have to post this new song because the title is fucking brilliant: “I Will Spite Survive.”
Dodgy has a covers collection out. There’s some pretty common choices, like The Beatles’ “Come Together,” but out of nowhere they pulled a rock cover of a 1990s classic….This is an old album, but I just discovered it.
