Joe Young’s new album has a whole mess of Wu Tangers on it. No, it’s not as good as the real thing–but it’s pretty tight. Here’s one of the better cuts, “Crack Babies 2.0.”

I think I was one of the first people to blog about Dirty Nil–back then they were a college basement band with incredible promise. Then they got a major label deal and their first album felt a little watered down, but still good. Their new single seems to be going in the right direction, marrying the budget of a studio with the hardcore desperation that makes them great.
The title track from Mipso’s new Americana album is darn good…
