JACK WHITE (An A to Z post)

I read a rumor recently that the White Stripes will be releasing a new album soon. That inspired me to post some of my favorite rare tunes from my own collection. Most are live or unreleased tracks.

If you’re a big fan and you want them all, then scroll down to Z is for Zip file and save yourself the trouble of doing all these bullshit savefile links. My blog is such a pain in the ass ’cause I don’t pay for hosting, blah blah blah. There, I did your complaining for you.

Have at it:

A is for Ashtray Heart-White Stripes

B is for Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) (Sonny Bono cover)-Raconteurs

B is also for Bushwalla’s cover of Hotel Yorba

C is for covers! Cat Power-I Want to Be the Boy (White Stripes cover)

F is for Fell in Love with a Girl (Acoustic version)-White Stripes

H is for Hello Operator-White Stripes. I love this number–real tough bluesy tune.

I is for It Ain’t Easy-The Raconteurs

J is for Judy. Together/Moody Miss Judy-The Raconteurs

L is for the Lips! Seven Nation Army-Flaming Lips

M is for Moonage Daydream (Bowie cover)-The White Stripes

N is for the numerals in the song title of 5 on the 5-The Raconteurs

O is for One More Cup of Coffee-White Stripes

R is for Rick James, Bitch! Mash up with vocals from Michael Jackson’s Billy Jean, Rick James Superfreak & Britney Spears Toxic over The White Stripes Button to Button.

S is for this cover: Seven Nation Army-Hard Fi

T is for (Headin’ for the) Texas Border (Flamin’ Groovies)-Raconteurs

V is for the name of an artist who does yet another cover of Seven Nation Army (white stripes)-Vyvienne Long

W is for another artists vision of this tune, also done by the Stripes: We Are Gonna Be Friends-Bree Sharp

Y is for the oddest version of Yorba I’ve ever heard. Hotel Yorba (Kazoo version)-The White Stripes

Z is for Zip file! (Most of the above tunes, in a zip.)
