Marvel Fanfare #28 (1986)

This is a weird issue.  Marvel Fanfare was supposed to be about giving big name creators the chance to tackle stories or characters that they normally wouldn’t work with, unencumbered by continuity.  This story, though, takes a deep storyline out of Alpha Flight, which is that Northstar use to work for terrorists in Canada, and “explains” that he really wasn’t a bad guy for doing it.

The story doesn’t fulfill the promise of the story line, and the art is awful.

Creators: Bill Mantlo and Ken Steacy
Grade: F
