STRANGE TALES #115 (1963)

The most interesting thing about Dr. Strange’s origin isn’t the tale itself.  It’s a fairly straightforward one.  It’s the fact that the character had been around a half a year before they got around to telling it.

The origin is familiar to all by now: He’s a jerky doctor whose hands get injured, and then he gets help from an ancient mystic.

The Human Torch story in this issue is him versus Sandman.  No great shakes.
