DAREDEVIL #373-375 (1998)

In these issues, the mystery of the Mr. Fear-backed serial killer Charles Burroughs deepens and concludes with a courtroom drama, Fear’s identity revealed (he escapes), Burroughs seemingly dead, and Black Widow helping Daredevil take him down.
And also Kingpin.

It turns out, Fear was manipulating city officials and Kingpin doesn’t like it when anyone manipulates city official. (Other than him.)
But before all that, we get to see Daredevil’s beauty regimen…

What’s really odd is this ending scene:

I’m sure that’s not intended to be a literal shot of the killer, Borroughs, rising from the grave but…Is it? I mean, he’s breaking the 4th wall so is this just for the reader or is it actually part of the story?
I dunno.
Sadly, Joe Kelly’s run ends here, with a hodgepodge of random artists drawing various pages and several other writers helping with the script…It kind of all falls apart here at the end.
