Punisher War Journal #10 (1989)

Sniper returns in a story called “second shot.”  Punisher and Microchip stop him from messing with NATO, making Pun an international hero and protector of democracy (it’s behind the scenes, though, so nobody knows).

But the more interesting thing is the “pin up” of Punisher’s glock.

It’s emblematic of what happened to comics in the 1990s: The glorification of muscles, weapons and violence became the primary driver, with good stories/characters coming in at a distant second.
