Marvel Comics Presents #12 (1989): Hercules

Not only is this a Hercules solo story without Bob Layton, but it’s got Don Heck.  But it’s actually not bad.  J. Jonah Jameson can’t stand having a Greek God walk around New York, so he has a reporter set up Hercules to look bad. We see Herc do a ton of good deeds, then the trick happens and Zeus comes down and tries to kill the reporter and his henchwoman.

Herc stops Zeus because, as the title of this short story says, “Noble fathers have noble children!”

A very nice short story.

Creators: Chris Henderson and Don Heck
Grade: C+
