Speedball #10 and Marvel Comics Presents #14 (1989)

This is the final issue of the series.  Yes, the cover promises a wild ride—but like every other issue, it feels random and not creative or interesting.  It’s just silly for silly sake.

And don’t be too relieved: It’s not really over.

Immediately following issue #10, the same crew moves to Marvel Comics Presents to tell the short story of “The Feathered Felon.”  This feels like Marvel burning inventory—maybe they hadn’t originally planned to cancel Speedball with issue #10 and had a segment leftover?

Creators: Mary Jo Duffy and Steve Ditko
