In January 1984, many Marvel comics participated in “Assistant Editors Month,” as the lead editors went to San Diego Comic Con.  Most of the stories were pretty damn funny.

The replaced the UPC symbol on the direct market books with this:

Marvel needs to do this again. It was so great, so much fun. We got Aunt May as the herald of Galactus and an issue of Peter Parker The Spectacular Spider-Man illustrated by Fred Hembeck, among other things.
