Alias #15 (2003)
This crosses over with the concurrent Daredevil storyline–also written by Brian Michael Bendis–and features Jessica working to bodyguard Matt Murdock, alongside Jessica’s f-buddy Luke Cage. (Matt is trying to disprove the recent media story that he is Daredevil.)
Jessica also finally goes on a date with Scott Lang. It’s an awkward event that is not without its charm. At the end of the day, Spider-Man and Human Torch run by the restaurant while fighting Doctor Octopus.
The two of them decide not to help because they’re on a date.
The story is all dialogue. It’s the kind of pure character work that Bendis excelled at at this time in his career.
