We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong by Sharon Van Etten

\
Of course this is good. One thing I especially dig about Sharon Von Etten is her way to buy completely into the overcrowded genre of moody woman singer/songwriter without being coopted or, frankly, lazy.

She uses the soaring swells and murky vocals, the hipsway lilts, but she owns them. Completely. And that makes her sound more original–and rise way, way above–than all the other people making these kinds of records.

Another winner for the Jagjaguwar record label. Love those guys.
