Marvel really wanted to use the incredibly popular Daredevil book to get more readers for the undervalued, under-read Power Man and Iron Fist title.
They ran multiple house ads for this crossover.
Back in the Daredevil days, there was nothing Frank Miller did wrong. Awesome fun as he meets up with Iron Fist and Power Man. And, of course, has a “nice to meet you” fight.
It’s loosely continued in PMIF #77, but the two issues can really stand alone. And, of course, the DD issue is much better. In the former, the villain is kinda kitschy.
But then again, that’s half of the fun of this mag.
Foggy Nelson hires the duo to protect Matt Murdock, and eats their last piece of pizza.
Creators: Frank Miller (DD #178), Mary Jo Duffy and Kerry Gammill (PMIF #77)
Grade: Daredevil: B+, PMIF: C+
