But the real story is that Prince Namor beats the crap out of a revolving door.
He also breaks the door to Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson’s law office. And is rude to his lawyer.
And he tears down an elevator.
It’s all because he wants to hire the legal team to represent him in some kind of vague lawsuit against “the human race” for depriving Atlantis of its “birthright.” When Matt tells him that there’s really no standing for such a lawsuit, Namor goes on a rampage, trying to get arrested so that he will be guaranteed a day in court…Good thinking, Prince!
But hey, the other thing about that new red costume is:
Yeah, he’s tricked out his billy club again. Now it emits smoke.
It’s also got a cable.
It’s also an insulated conduit for electricity.
In the end, Daredevil can’t defeat Sub Mariner, but he puts in a good enough fight to earn the Prince’s respect.
When I read this issue for the first time a few years ago, I dismissed it as dumb. But on a re-read, I find it absolutely delicious! It’s a fan favorite too:
And if that’s not enough, I think this was the first issue with a letters page…
