TRINITY THIRTY by DEADBEAT AND CAMARA

When the Cowboy Junkies’ “Trinity” album dropped, way back in my college days, there wasn’t much out there like it. A friend of mine asked me if it was any good, and I said, “Yeah, if you want music to shoot heroin to.”

The haunting, deliberate and mellow-as-fuck album was a smash hit.

That was 30 years ago.

In celebration, Deadbeat and Camara have released an electronic-based song-for-song tribute that’s…Even slower than the original. Kids today listen to different music, but they’re still doing heroin. And this is still music to shoot up to.

And I mean that in the nicest way possible.
