Web of Spider-Man #28 (1987)

In 1985, the United States Government swapped out the Statue of Liberty’s torch.  Also in 1985, apparently, Bob Layton wrote an amusing Spider-Man story about how he prevented the torch from being stolen during the repairs.

Not a bad story, but that cover?  Lazy, lazy, lazy.

Creators: Bob Layton, Steve Geiger
Grade: C.  Perfectly serviceable comic with no importance to the greater Marvel universe, and published two years after it was written.
