In the first solid misstep of her Daredevil run, Ann Nocenti has DD take on a voo-doo preacher.
Unfortunately, this starts to be the direction of the book. Daredevil works best when he’s dealing with moral ambiguity and semi-realistic problems. This really just doesn’t work well most of the time—but it’s a testament to Nocenti that, in later issues, she gets it to work at all. Keep reading. This is a challenging, up-and-down run.
