Daredevil #243-244

In the first solid misstep of her Daredevil run, Ann Nocenti has DD take on a voo-doo preacher.

Unfortunately, this starts to be the direction of the book.  Daredevil works best when he’s dealing with moral ambiguity and semi-realistic problems.  This really just doesn’t work well most of the time—but it’s a testament to Nocenti that, in later issues, she gets it to work at all.  Keep reading.  This is a challenging, up-and-down run.
