HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PATRICK SIMMONS (A SLEW OF DOOBIE BROTHERS COVERS!)

When you think of The Doobie Brothers, the seminal rock-soul group of the 1970s, you should think of Patrick Simmons, because he’s the only one who was with the group for their entire legendary run. Other members, including their most famous member Michael McDonald, came and went. But Simmons stayed on. He was born on October 19, 1948.

So let’s do some doobie covers, shall we?

Black Water

Jesus is Just Alright (originally by the Art Reynolds Singers)

Listen to the Music

Long Train Running

Minute by Minute

Take Me In Your Arms (Rock Me) (original by Eddie Holland)

Takin’ It To the Streets

What a Fool Believes

You Belong to Me

And just because it’s so weird, a video-game driven covers album. And it’s free!
