STREET FARMACY by ROME STREETZ and FARMA BEATS

Is Rome Streetz any good? He’s hardcore, for sure. And he can drop some tough bars. “Choppin’ boulders/Got my shine on solar/Heart still on polar/Don strong marijuana odor/This the overdose nothin’ doper.”

Yeah, I think he’s good. I think he’s damn good. I know this generation’s taste for hardcore street tales is decreasing. These days, the rap game has a preference for introspection and emotional depth. But sometimes it’s still good to hear hardcore grime, in the spirit of Clipse, Young Jeezy and T.I. Yeah, is good. No, Rome Streetz is fucking great.

And then there’s the beats, coming out of London’s own Farmacy. Deceptively simple, they’ve got an old-school feel but they are constantly evolving track by track, setting the tone, establishing the atmosphere for Streetz’ lyrics.

Twelve songs. No filler. An excellent rap album.
